Need to ship Heavy Haul & Oversized/Overweight Freight? No problem! You have options to weigh in on and we are more than capable and ready to assist. Heavy Haul Oversized loads, also called “Over Dimensional” or “OD,” are shipments exceeding the standard legal length, width, or height limits for commercial vehicles. Oversize loads are typically always transported on an open trailer such as a flatbed, step deck, double drop, lowboy, RGN and multi-axle trailers.
Flatbeds are commonly used for heavy loads that are not perishable, delicate, or vulnerable to precipitation.
Open deck equipment is the most flexible with loading/unloading. Flatbed are most commonly used in the construction and steel industry to transport commodities like lumber, piping, building materials, plates, and steel coils.
Step Deck trailer, or Drop Deck trailer are your open type of trailers with two deck levels and are closer to the ground. These trailers are ideal for transporting excavators, construction supplies, lumber, pipe, and steel.
Specialized equipment can include but not limited to: Lowboy, Conestoga, Removable Gooseneck (RGN), Multi-axle trailers, Double Drop Flatbed, and Double Drop Flatbed.
Temperature controlled or Reefer trailers, like a dry-van trailer, typically come in 48ft or 53ft dimensions. However, reefers are heavier and have a refrigeration unit that can be set to an exact temperature range.

FTL freight is usually transported in a Dry-Van trailer in either the 53ft or 48ft size. Commodities hauled typically include but not limited to retail products, palletized products and dry non-perishable goods.
